Planning permission was refused by the LB Richmond for works to a large house in Kew Conservation Area, including basement works. We appealed against the refusal and were pleased to have the appeal allowed. The Council had raised concerns relating to the effect on the conservation area and a precedent being set, but submitted evidence demonstrated to the Inspector that there would be no conflict with policies and guidance.

Planning permission and listed building consent have been granted for a large rear extension and alterations to a listed property in Chester Row, Belgravia.
A pre-application submission had shown the Council were anticipating a fairly limited extension. A long process of negotiations was involved in this project, and the submission of detailed information on technical matters. Although there were still objections to the scheme, the applications were approved under delegated powers. Client: private householder Prior approval has been obtained for the change of use of three office buildings to flats in the centre of Kingston. The case raised flooding and highways issues, which were successfully resolved after detailed work with specialist consultants.
