Planning permission was refused by the LB Richmond for works to a large house in Kew Conservation Area, including basement works. We appealed against the refusal and were pleased to have the appeal allowed. The Council had raised concerns relating to the effect on the conservation area and a precedent being set, but submitted evidence demonstrated to the Inspector that there would be no conflict with policies and guidance.
