Conservation areas

Much of the practice's work concerns buildings and land that lie within conservation areas. We have extensive experience in dealing with such cases and a good relationship with many architects and Council officers, built up over 25 years' experience. We regularly advise clients for projects in the most sensitive areas of the country and undertake heritage appraisals for many developers and private companies.

​Our objective is to come to a solution so that clients' aspirations are met, rather than just point out the limitations and difficulties of working within areas of heritage control.
