The LB Richmond has long-been a forerunner of policies relating to the protection of small flats that lie within converted large houses. We have advised on this particular issue in Richmond, and other Boroughs, for many years and were involved in some of the earliest cases in Richmond that successfully argued for the reversion of properties back to their original use as a single family house.
We have recently obtained another permission for a client to revert their old family home back to the original single house. This will achieve a considerable uplift in value compared to the dilapidated condition of aging flats. The application was approved under delegated powers.
Client: private family
