Planning permission has been granted for the change of use of the upper floor of the former hostel and care centre, run by the Kaleidoscope charity, in the centre of Kingston. The new use will be as student accommodation for the University. This was a complex application that took many months of negotiation with the Council to demonstrate there would not be a loss of social care facilities, employment or harm to amenity. Extensive information was submitted with the application and during the discussions, and the application was approved under delegated powers.

A property in Kingston town centre had been used for many years as offices and counselling space for a charity. A restructuring of the charity's assets saw a need to dispose of the building, and permission was needed to revert the property back to a family house. Permission was secured to create the house in this central location.
