The Government relaxed permitted development rules to allow the change of use of offices to residential without the need to apply for planning permission from the Council. This has meant that many Councils' restrictive policies have been side-stepped. But, with this now having an end date of only a year, it is important to secure this change through the prior approval route before time runs out. We obtained an approval for a client in an otherwise restrictive London Borough through a careful preparation of a prior approval application.
