The case raised issues of highway safety, parking and potential noise. The level of employment and the effect on the conservation area were added factors. Planning permission was granted by the Council under delegated powers.

Permission has been granted for an extension to the rear of a large nursing home in a suburban area of Woking, Surrey. The client had a need to provide new training facilities for his staff due to increased regulatory requirements. Off-site training facilities were a big cost, so this new extension will allow the company to provide in-house facilities more economically and efficiently. The site adjoins houses and is within a conservation area, with protected trees surrounding. Permission was granted under delegated powers.
