A small project, but detailed in preparation: listed building consent has been granted for replacement steps at a house in Kensington. A pre-application submission by the client had been negative. We were then called in to investigate the matter further. Through detailed research and appraisal of planning policies, we were able to demonstrate that the installation of new steps to the property would be acceptable and lead to benefits for the building and conservation area.
