The Government announced earlier this year the loosening of planning controls relating to the change of use from offices to residential. We have achieved an early success under this new regime, with approval granted for such a change in the LB Kingston; an authority well-known for long-resisting the change of use of employment to housing. The application demonstrated to the Council that prior approval was not needed, and the land-owner could take advantage of the new rights.
