The LB Richmond refused planning permission at Committee for a scheme proposing an additional storey to one house set within a distinctive estate of 1970s houses, which lie facing the River Thames within a conservation area, and proposed for local listing. We presented the case at appeal that the changes to the property would be appropriate for the house and the wider area, with reference to the evolution of the estate and the architectural concept of the Island. The appeal was allowed.
