We were involved in appraising a listed building on North Audley Street, London, to enable the change of use from offices to new flats. We undertook detailed research into the building and presented the case for the works to the building, enabling new activities and strengthening of the Grosvenor Estate's residential and retail aspirations for the area.

We provided advice regarding the establishment of a new coffee and cake shop opening up in existing premises in Ascot. The client, who already has a business in Surrey, wanted to expand into the area and open in an A1 retail premises. Coffee shop uses in such premises have always been a sensitive topic in planning, and we were involved in detailed discussions between the client and the local planning authority to ensure that the business model will operate within the lawful A1 retail use.
Client: Coffee A'More We were pleased to see completion of a recent project with which we assisted. The listed property was residential on upper floors, whilst the ground floor was a large garage. We provided advice on heritage and planning matters regarding the removal of the original garage and the use of that space as a new retail unit. The application was permitted by the Council. This work has been part of the Grosvenor Estate's continued regeneration of the area.
Client: Grosvenor Estate Earlier in 2015 we obtained planning permission at a prominent site in Sunninghill village, Berkshire. The scheme involved change of use and a large extension to the first floor and roof in a conservation area. We were pleased to see the works completed and the new shop, with two flats above, lit up for the festive season.
Client: Shorts Group Permission has been granted for the change of use from an office building to a flexible permission, within Tolworth Broadway, Kingston. This will enable the owner of the property to market the premises to a range of potential occupiers and increase the attractiveness of the building.
Client: private commercial owner We were pleased to see completion on a project for which we were involved a number of years ago, to extend a corner site in Belgravia through a mansard roof extension, as well as works to the rear, the ground floor and basement of this listed building. The scheme involved extensive research into planning policy and the history of the building, and approval was granted by the local planning authority.
Client: Grosvenor Estate Planning permission has been granted for the creation of two retail units to an existing property within Sunninghill High Street, with a large first floor extension to provide two new flats. The site is a prominent one in the centre of the village and will provide two good-sized shops for local businesses. A key issue was parking and access to the properties, and after significant work on those matters the application was approved by the Planning Committee.
